What did you learn in 2008?

In 2008 I learned that I am mortal. My life here on earth won't last forever, but it will last a bit longer. I'm not finished yet. I learned that my kids get mad at me if I don't inform them when I'm sick. I learned that sincere prayer can work very quickly, even if the prayer is only one word. I learned that Heavenly Father is in control. I learned that sometimes the only way I listen is when I get hit over the head by the proverbial two-by-four. I learned that most of the time retirement doesn't mean taking it easy. (Sometimes I wonder how I ever had time to work.) I learned that all of my grandchildren are the smartest, cutest, most woderful children in the whole wide world. I knew that already but they keep proving it over and over again. I learned that sometimes we give service and sometimes we recieve. I learned that good friends are among our choicest blessings. I learned, many times this year, that I am married to the most wonderful, caring man in the whole wide world.
